Day 12

Las Vegas, NV—Dad left the RV camp early (at around 6 in the morning) in order to avoid the heat of the day. It was a little surprising waking up to find yourself rolling around on your bed in Vegas.

Another thing: It’s six in the morning and it’s all ready full sun! So I grabbed the sunglasses out of the compartment and put them on to view Las Vegas better. It was ridonculous! McDonald’s had a huge yellow ‘M’ coming out of it, half a giant motorcycle coming out of one of the huge casinos we saw. There was also a mini-Eiffel Tower and mini-Statue of Liberty. The Eiffel Tower was also functioned as a restaurant. Vegas included an M&M World and a huge glass Coca-Cola bottle-shaped building. It was all very strange.

Along with alarming billboards (in more way than one), there were around seven huge casinos just going along the strip of Las Vegas. Later mom woke up and found her way to the front of the RV, looking questionably at my sunglasses and I. At the time, we were at a red light, so I was just lying down on my bed with my sunglasses on. I must admit it must have looked a little strange. Almost too soon, Vegas was behind us. But off to California!
