Day 13

Porterville, CA—We stopped for the night at this campsite in Porterville, California. It has a lake, so Marcy and I went swimming. We swam out pretty far in order to touch the bobber—one of those orange floaty things. Marcy and kept thinking there were piranhas or other carnivorous animals in the water. I personally thought the bobber was a shark’s nose and that it would do one of those Jaws things where we’d touch the nose and the shark’s mouth would rise up around us and eat us whole.

Then after supper we went to see Up, which was pretty awesome. It was really funny and we all enjoyed it. Today we’ll probably go to Sequoia National Park for the night. BLEH!
