Day 4

We hiked to the town of Crystal today for lunch. Crystal is a mining town nestled high up in the mountains built circa 1890’s. The total hike was 11 miles, which may seem excessive, but don’t worry: Dad warmed up with an early morning seven-mile run so he wouldn’t be stiff. He’s posting some of those pictures in a separate post.

We took a picnic lunch of sandwiches, apples, and granola bars and ate lunch once we arrived at Crystal. Now that we’re finally back our legs feel a little like Jell-O, so we’re drinking soda to replenish our body’s essential nutrients. I’ll be posting more pictures in a separate post, for some reason I’m only allowed five pictures per post.
