Day 2.1

It still seems unreal that we are finally on this trip. I've dreamed about it for 10 years and was waiting for the kids to get old enough to enjoy it. I just hope the computers at the school keep working because doing tech support on a cell phone from 3,000 miles away while I am supposed to be on vacation stinks.

I finally got a run in today, after two days off; four-and-a-half of the straightest miles that I ever ran in York, Nebraska. The legs wanted to go, after over a day in the minivan. I'm glad I don't live there and have to run on those straight flat roads every day. I'd probably stop. Penns Valley is pretty nice.

We are now over 4,000 feet elevation in the high plains of eastern Colorado. It doesn't seem like we are that high as it has been a gradual climb. The kids are not attacking each other, yet, so all is well.
